Four people were standing in a small room. There were four chairs, a table, and a bed. All of them were human. One was smoking. The one that was smoking exhaled and started to speak. "I still say that Shaundi should be the new leader." He said.
"I'm not becoming a legendary Pokémon, Chris," Shaundi said. "The boss already promised me that I could be a Ninetails."
"Well he's dead now," Chris replied. Chris took another drag from his cigarette. "You were his assistant; you should know more than we do."
"If any of us should know something, it should be Richard." Shaundi turned towards Richard. He was standing by the bed. "I bet he'd like to be the leader." Richard shook his head. He rarely spoke to anyone besides the boss.
"You're going to be the boss Shaundi, just accept it," Chris said.
"What about him?" The fourth person asked. "He could do it."
"He won't, Peter" Shaundi said. "He will kill us before he even considers it."
"He's the perfect choice though."
"It doesn't matter he just won't."
"He might," Richard said. Everyone turned to look at him. "We do have the technology to lock away memories. If we adjust it slightly, we should be able to make him think that he was always supposed to do this. He would do it happily even."
"Do you really think it could work?" Chris asked.
Richard looked down at the figure in the bed. "He must have been powerful to kill the boss. I'm positive that we could give him new memories." They all looked at the bed. Yellow rings would occasionally appear in its black fur.
"Then let's do it," Chris said.
"Agreed," Shaundi and Peter said at the same time.
